Tour with TV or Radio station |
Contact your local community radio station or local television news station and ask about tours. Many will offer tours for groups and some have the option to record a PSA for your group for the station.
Spend some time explaining the role and impact of media to group. Here are a few websites to consider, but there are many others
Review general behavior rules for meeting new people and taking a tour. Arrive on time and in uniform if possible.
Consider having each participant prepare a question to ask before arriving so there is an active crowd for the tour.
If you are able to create a PSA for a radio station, prepare a script before going which could include: what Navigators is; the moral compass; the cardinal points; ways to join your group or get information in general on the national website; and any other ideas you would like to promote.
Consider writing a thank you note to your tour guide and station.
